As I took this picture I was approached by a gentleman that noted that he had seen ravens sitting on top of light standards in Inuvik, NWT.  The old style lights produced a lot of heat but were off during the day.  The ravens had learned how to sit on the light sensor so that the light would come on during the day and act as a warming station.
