What Meals to Bring

Whether your goal is to have quick and easy meals or gourmet delights there are a few pointer that will make it easier to select what to bring.

The Kitchen

You will find that we have supplied all of the appliances that you would normally find in any fully equipped kitchen.

  • A full size refrigerator with a freezer section.
  • A microwave oven.
  • A 2 burner portable induction cooktop that can be used in the kitchen or outside at the BBQ station.
  • A portable convection oven that can be used in the kitchen or outside at the BBQ station.
  • A 2 burner BBQ at a covered outside station.
  • A selection of pots, fry pans, and mixing bowls.
  • Place settings for 6.
  • Small Appliances (Blender, Pod Coffee Maker, Toaster, Kettle)
  • And, of course, wine and beer glasses

Cooking Supplies

We normally stock the kitchen with a basic condiments and cooking supplies such as mustard, ketchup, hot sauce, salt, pepper, some spices, sugar and flour. If you need a particular item contact us and we will let you know if it is available. Also, in season, the garden has fresh oregano, thyme, and rosemary.

Beverages

Weight is a consideration since all of the supplies need to be moved across by boat. If possible avoid glass bottles. They might break, are heavier than plastic bottles or cans, and are more trouble to recycle.

What if Something Is Forgotten?

It’s hard to remember everything that one might need. If you forget something there are three options. First, get creative and find a workaround. If that isn’t an option we may have what you need in our larder. Finally, the Bathgate Store is a 10 minute boat ride away and may have what you need.
