Winter Projects

While we have closed the Hideaway for the winter we still have a number of projects on the go.

In October we replaced our old ramp which had provided access to the dock for the last 50 years. It was still mostly functional but its age was showing.

The new ramp, shown in the attached picture, is much more stable and provides us significantly more doc space.

As part of this project we are expanding the landing at the top of the ramp. The new landing will be much larger than the old one and will attach to the “working dock”. This will provide great spaces to sit in the sun and watch the ocean or read a book. It will also make it easier to organize and use the various recreational water craft (kayaks, SUP etc.).
