What about Pets?
We welcome furry family members but there are a few special things to remember if you plan to bring a pet along for your get away.
- We are in a remote location, accessible only by boat. Pets, such as cats, that may find boats and water distressing should be brought over in a pet carrier.
- The property is not fenced. While we do not have to contend with roads and vehicle traffic, it is easy for a pet to take themselves for a walk and get into trouble or get lost. Make certain that your pet has good recall and can be kept under control at all times.
- The retreat is home to two cats and a dog. If your pet is not well behaved toward other animals we ask that you consider leaving them behind.
- We trust that your pet is well behaved but repairs for any damage caused by them will be charged back to you.
While those are important things to take into consideration when deciding whether to include your pets in your getaway remember that we would love to have your friendly, well behaved pet as a guest. The ocean, shoreline and backwoods’ trails present endless opportunities for them to enjoy quality time with you.
